The main kaldi installation is kept as a part of LaMachine. It is in LaMachine2: /vol/customopt/lamachine.stable/opt/kaldi. This installation does not contain Alex ASR (not maintained), and Kaldi_NL still has to be integrated (https://github.com/proycon/LaMachine/issues/106). Activation of the LaMachine environment (using lm), should properly set your $KALDI_ROOT. Components in this installation of kaldi may require a GPU to function. If you get an error about a missing cuda library, switch to a machine with a GPU.

For legacy reasons there is a frozen and broken installation of Kaldi at /vol/customopt/kaldi.old. It contains Alex ASR as well as Kaldi_NL. Frozen here means it is not kept up to date with the latest version on Github, but rather as it is, it will not work on the current ponyland anymore!
